we recently had this craft for a long weekend, as there were 5 of us it was quite roomy especially the living area.we had a lot of rain but i would imagine that the sitting area on top of the boat would be quite a asset in better weather

hired this for 2 weeks 2006.very roomy/comfortable, issues in previous review were sorted.when moored alongside the dayboat jetty, see above, at oulton broad hirers were walking past asking if it was our own boat because of the level of fit out(armchair, setee, coffee table etc.only issue was windage very poor low speed manouvering atmooring speed.

Hired Starfire in October 2005, nice boat but very prone to condensation in cold weather and had a few problems with throttle/gearbox linkage from upper steering position (Only dropped into gear if throttle just about maxxed out in either direction - made close quarters manoeuvering a bit interesting!)Also had a major split in top of transom from what looked like a violent meeting with someone elses bow. Still a nice boat and handles like most of Alpha's 42 footers despite the increased windage of that tall superstructure.
