Yes I was thinking along those lines, shame I would have liked to read the end of the tale.

Having found this for the first time and enjoyed reminiscing about our first trip, I do feel Jona has left the tale unfinished ! Still never mind we have adventure 3 to look forward to in September !! And boy I can't wait !!!

Hello Jojo and Jona,

I'm looking forward to more also and would it be possible to attach that avatar picture of your dog so I can see it better?  If the larger is a Ridgador, is the other a Taniel? Spanner?  Oh 'eck is it a terrier/spaniel cross?

Our dog has a life preserver, too.  She scared me silly last year when she launched herself into the tide down near GY.  I was terrified she would just give up before I could get her back.

Aye the little lad is pure Jack Russell although with his grey spots he's more like a baby Dalmation !

Luckily neither have gone overboard yet but there's always a first especially as this April the little un made a leap for some ducks that had decided to come aboard without permission, and Jon had to make the quickest catch of his life !!

Oops that was actually on this first trip ! I'd gone off to the shop whilst moored at Womack - our fave spot ! and being such a beautiful day we had the roof back. As I'd being feeding the ducks a couple decided to wander up to see if there was any more fodder going, which Ollie (jack) took great offence to ( well it's his boat after all !!) and tried a leap across from the seating area, over Jon's seat at the driving position, growling and snarling at the hungry ducks !.

Whilst it would've been very nice to enjoy duck a l'orange Jon felt it best to catch Ollie and close the roof just in case !

So if you hear any barking/yapping in Sept just look out for Swan Rapier , it might be us !!

Jo

Oh what a gorgeous sweetie!  Thanks for that, I'm a dog person through and through - mine is a terrier type mongrel with a history!  Her mum was rescued from an Irish shelter by Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, taken to their Bucks HQ to be trained, found to be in pup, whelped of 6 all named after Actors/Actresses - she is now officially PAT dog Miss (Vivian) LEIGH, a Pets As Therapy dog who visits two care homes to spread a bit of cheer.  She has a brother called Chaplin but that's all I know.  That little JRT really does have prominent spots, that's why I thought there was Spaniel knocking about in the family tree, such a cutie.
