Hello.  Will be on the Broads from the 10th to the 17th
of August on Fair Courier 2.  Anyone any experiences of
this boat?  There are a couple of photos around but any
inside info would be appreciated!  Thanks.

Hi Helen, My family and friends hired two boats, ours fair royale 2 and our friends fair courier 2 on the 3rd july this year for seven days. i did go onboard a few times during the week and found it spacious which i could not say the same for ours. I did put a pic in the hire info section of the outside but have none of the inside. i will speak to my friend when i see him and he might be able to come up with some internal pictures. I know our friends loved the boat and are thinking of rebooking it for next year. Only problem i can see is that it has a manual windsreen wiper, so pray for good weather. The staff at the yard are great and will look after you. But the main thing is make sure you all have a great time!

All the best (and will try and get you some pics)

Mick.

Thanks for the info Mick.  Some internal photos would be
great thanks.  If the wiper is the only problem on the
boat then I'm more than happy!  We have used this
boatyard before and found them very helpful and pleasant.
We will do our best to have a great time!  Cheers

Hi

Have you seen this:

http://www.norfolkbroadsdirect.co.uk/pdf/FairCouriersheet.pdf

found on this page:

http://www.norfolkbroadsdirect.co.uk/cruiserdetail.asp?page_id=64&cruiser=5&howmany=0

Looks like there is a PDF for each their boats with a couple of internal pics, we had Fair Senator at start of this month.

Thanks Harry.  I had seen a small photo of the boat but
the large one on the PDF shows a few things I'd missed.
I like the look of the double seat behind the helmsman.
Just the right size for me and my faithful doggy!  She
loves sitting out in the open air as we go down the
river.  Her nose never stops twitching at all the strange
smells!  10 days to go!!!!   Smile

Hi Micks friend.  Smile    Thanks for the photo.  Glad to
know its a nice boat.  Previously we have been on bigger
boats with more people on board but this year we are
going on 2 separate ones.  If you can think of anything
we need to know or pack before we set off please let us
know!  I promise to look after it for you for next year!
Oh....one very important question.  Does it have wine
glasses??   Wink

Hi Helen. Firstly onboard are 6 wine glasses, 6 tumblers and 6 smaller glasses. As for things to take the answer is not a lot. Onboard there is a corksrew, scissors, potatoe peeler basicly everything. They even supply tea towels, dish clothe, scouring pad and a box of matches.

All the best,

Mick.

Great Mick thanks!  I have noted the wine glasses and
corkscrew.  I will point Mr Highwater and the Mini
Highwaters in the direction of the other items!   Wink
